We were sad to have to leave the beautiful lake in Hot Springs, but we were excited for Dylan to meet all of her Great Aunts, Uncles, cousins and 2nd cousins. We stopped on the cool side at the Sonic and got Grandmom a Strawberry milkshake and we got a coke. When we got to the house Uncle Tommy, or Uncle Brat as I call him, was there to meet us. He swept Dylan right up and visited with her on the couch. When Cathy got home she was excited to see the baby and wanted to know if Tommy had officially dubbed her "Baby Brat" yet. But, he said he wanted to call her "Brat Brat" instead. I think I graduated from "T-H-E Brat" to TMBM(The Most Beautiful Melissa), so maybe in a couple years when he sees how pretty Dylan is going to be she will get a new nickname :)
My sweet cousin, Cissy, and her precious youngest son Jonah came over on a special trip from Camden and we were so happy to see them. We all went out to visit GG and Carole Lee came with us. GG was excited and surprised to see everyone.
On Tuesday morning I woke up around 5:45 with the baby and went out to visit with Cathy. Good thing I did because Cathy taught Dylan to roll over! She had done it a few times, but could not figure out how to get her little arm pulled out once she got her body turned over. But, with a little encouragement Cathy got her to do it. It is funny because when I was a baby my parents left me in Arkansas and my Aunt Cathy taught me how to walk and when they picked me up I walked over to them for the first time. So, I guess I will have to take her back up there when it is time to walk. :)
We made it all the way back to Houston without a hitch. She was a perfect angel in the car. Her first trip to Arkansas was a great one, but I'm not sure daddy appreciates her Arkansas PJ's and her Lolli teaching her the fight song! :)
